One of the oldest and most classic decorations from the "BOLESŁAWIEC" Ceramic Works combines stamps in the characteristic "peacock eye" pattern with hand-painted leaves. The stamping method is a traditional technique for decorating dishes dating back to 1882, when local potters invented a decoration made using a sponge with underglaze paints in intense cobalt blue and green colors. Despite many years passing, this form of decoration remains consistently popular among contemporary enthusiasts of Bolesławiec pottery.
